The site is located approximately 1km to the north of the village of Coolrain and 6km to the west of Mountrath, Co. Laois. Coolrain Sawmills Ltd is situated at the foot of the Sliabh Bloom Mountains, one of the most beautiful and scenic areas in Ireland, with acres of managed forests, unspoiled scenic walks and a variety of wildlife. The sawmill is on four acres of land, The Delour River; a tributary of the Nore River runs along the northern and eastern boundaries of the site. All of the above has motivated our team to have a conscientious approach to all environmental issues.
To reach us from Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow or Wexford simply drive down the M7 and straight through Mountrath. When you exit Mountrath on the Limerick / Roscrea road, about 500 yards after the last filling station you take your first right turn. At your second cross roads you turn right again and we are about 500 yards on the right. You can't miss us! Driving time from Dublin is about 1 hour and from Kildare is about 40min.
